Rules for Using ‘Other’ in sentences
Other is generally used with un-countable nouns, such as rice, oil, memory, love, emotions.
Other is also used with plural nouns.
Can you give me some other information? क्या तुम मुझे कुछ और जानकारी दे सकते हो.( In this sentence the word ‘information’ is an un-countable noun, it indicates that the person is seeking for some more information)
Could you pass the other biscuits? क्या तुम मुझे दुसरे बिस्किट पास कर सकते हो.( In this sentence the word, biscuits is a plural noun, here the person is asking for different choice of biscuits)
Some more examples –
- You should give her some other advice. तुम्हे उसे कोई दूसरी सलाह देनी चाहिए.
- We should look for other mechanics for the car. हमे गाडी ठीक करने के लिए नये मैकेनिक्स ढूँढने चाहिए.
Rules for using ‘Another’ in sentences.’
Another is generally used with singular nouns and non-specific words.
I will meet you another day. में तुम्हे किसी और दिन मिलूंगा.
(I am not specifying on which day I will meet you, I am not specific. The word day in this sentence is singular)
I need another charger , this isn’t working. मुझे नया चार्जर चाहिए, यह काम नहीं कर रहा ( In this sentence the word charger is non-specific and I am asking for a new charger as the charger I have is not working)

Do you have another book? तुम्हारे पास कोई और किताब हैं?
Please give me another bag. मुझे कोई और बाद दे दो.
