Will is used in English sentences to talk about immediate decisions, decisions that you take instantly while speaking or in a conversation. For Example – I will go shopping in the evening.
Going to is used to talk about the planned decision, these decisions could be an immediate or long term. For Example – I am going to go shopping over the weekend.
‘Will’ is used for immediate decisions.
I am thirsty; I will buy something to drink.
‘Going to’ is used for planned decisions.
I am going to go for a movie.
Use 01 – Will is used to offering something.
- Will you need my help?
- Will you have tea or coffee?
- Would you like to have something cold to drink?
‘Would’ – Past tense of ‘Will’
- Will you marry me?
- Yes, I will marry you.
Use 02 – Will is used for making a promise.
- You don’t worry, we will always remain geed friends.
- You don’t worry, I will not tell anyone about it.
Use 03 – Will is used for making a request.
- Will you please pass me the salt?
- Will you please keep quiet?
- Will you please listen to me?
- Will you please do me a favour?
- Will you please buy me a new dress?
Use 04 – Will is used for invitations.
- I would like to invite you to my birthday party.
- Will you come with me for a movie?
- I will be late, will you wait for me?
Use 05 – Will is used to threatening someone.
- If you don’t reach in next 5 minutes, I will go alone to watch the movie.
- If you will not listen to me, I will tell your Mom.
- I will complain about this to our boss.
- Will you listen to me? Or shall I call the police?
Use 06 – Will is used t say ‘NO’ to something
- I will not do this.
- I will not give up.
- I will miss you.
- I will cry now.
- I will be late.
- We will go together.
- I will explain it to them.

- I will surely come home.

Going to is used to talk about planned decisions.

Going to is also used to estimate something.
